grad party gathering

Over the weekend we celebrated my husband officially receiving his Master's Degree! Along with our family and good friends, we ate, drank, and were merry! It was a wonderful get together, and we had a blast!

Like most gatherings at our house, we had tons of food! For starters, homemade tomato salsa and chips, a white bean dip inspired by our friend Sarah's recipe, goat cheese topped with homemade strawberry balsamic jam along with fresh cherries, and a tomato and mozzarella salad with fresh basil!

We also enjoyed french potato salad (made with some blue potatoes I found at the market), greek pasta salad, and pulled barbecue chicken.

And in case that wasn't enough food, we had a huge dessert table! My mom really did an amazing job! She made a huge fruit tray, an awesome cookie tray with a variety of incredible treats, and to top it all of- a beautiful plate of chocolate covered strawberries. SO good.

Of course we also had some yummy sangria full of peaches and orange slices, and ice cold beer!

Good food, good friends and family, and a great reason to celebrate- what more could you ask for?!

  1. There was sangria? I don't seem to have any recollection of that...

This was a great party with so much great food. The potato salad in particular was a favorite of mine and Sarah's.
