Over the weekend we celebrated my husband officially receiving his Master's Degree! Along with our family and good friends, we ate, drank, and were merry! It was a wonderful get together, and we had a blast!
Like most gatherings at our house, we had tons of food! For starters, homemade tomato salsa and chips, a white bean dip inspired by ourfriend Sarah's recipe, goat cheese topped with homemadestrawberry balsamic jamalong with fresh cherries, and a tomato and mozzarella salad with fresh basil!
And in case that wasn't enough food, we had a huge dessert table! My mom really did an amazing job! She made a huge fruit tray, an awesome cookie tray with a variety of incredible treats, and to top it all of- a beautiful plate of chocolate covered strawberries. SO good.
Of course we also had some yummy sangria full of peaches and orange slices, and ice cold beer! Good food, good friends and family, and a great reason to celebrate- what more could you ask for?!
I come from a long line of good cooks! So it's no surprise that I love to cook, bake, and most importantly- eat! My husband and I are passionate about food (especially when it's local), and this blog is written to share our food experiences, recipes, and thoughts. And now that we have a new daughter, we can't wait to pass on our food traditions to her!
