chocolate pecan blondies

In the time it takes you to preheat your oven, you can make this blondies. And they are ridiculously good!

These blondies are versitile too! Don't have chocolate chips? add butterscotch or peanut butter chips! Don't like nuts? leave 'em out! Try adding some dried fruit. Or mash up those ripe bananas on the counter...be creative! Oh, and did I mention that this recipe can be made using just one bowl?!

Chocolate Pecan Blondies

8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
pinch salt
1 cup AP flour
1/4 cup chopped chocolate, or chocolate chips
1/4 chopped pecans

1. Butter an 8 x 8 pan.
2. Mix melted butter with brown sugar, beat until smooth. Beat in egg and then vanilla.
3. Add salt. Stir in flour. Mix in any additions (I used chocolate and pecans, but again, use what you like!)
4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-35 minutes, or until middle is set.

Enjoy!
